ROBERT WALKER CONSULTANT, NOTARY PUBLIC, TEP FTIA AFPA

Robert combines his skills gained as a solicitor over 38 years and a financial planner over 12 years to tailor personal estate plans or business succession plans to suit every situation. This rare combination gives Robert a great understanding of the issues involved. His legal experience is extensive in the areas of estate administration and planning, cottage and commercial conveyancing, commercial work and business structures.

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and an Associate of the Financial Planning Association. During the last 40 years Robert has been involved in numerous community and charitable organizations and is currently Chairman of the Ipswich Hospital Foundation as well as being Honorary Solicitor for many more organizations.

GERARD PENDER PARTNER, MEDIATOR

Gerard has represented Ipswich in more ways than one. Gerard has been a Solicitor for more than 25 years, firstly in partnership with his father and in more recent years as a partner at WALKER PENDER GROUP. While early on in his career he was a general practitioner providing advice and services in most legal areas, in recent times he has focused on the areas of Wills, Estates and Powers of Attorney, Conveyancing and Property matters, Family Law and Mediation.

He has extensive involvement in the Ipswich community and has previously served Ipswich as a local Councillor.

PETER WALKER LL.B PARTNER, MEDIATOR

Whether resolution or innovative solutions are required, Peter's expertise will assist you. He has extensive experience in litigation, particularly in the commercial and personal injuries fields. He also practices in the areas of commercial and property law, including leases and business conveyancing. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1983 and his commitment to positive outcomes for his clients has seen him become an accredited mediator for the Queensland Law Society.

Peter is also a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance, a group actively involved in the rights of individuals, and he is currently an honorary solicitor for a number of community and sporting groups. Recently he has also become an authorised representative of Great Southern Securities Pty Limited.

MATTHEW FAIRCLOUGH LL.B (HONS) PARTNER

Matthew was admitted as a Solicitor in 1992 and since then has practised extensively in Litigation including Estate Litigation, Family Law, Criminal Law and in the area of Personal Injuries. He now specialises in the Criminal Law field including compensation for victims of crime. Matthew and the Firm have a strong commitment to Social Justice and ensuring access to the Courts for the financially disadvantaged members of our Community. Legal Aid work is undertaken by the Firm, in all areas of Court where available.

KEVIN MURRAY LL.B (HONS) PARTNER, MEDIATOR

Family Law is an increasingly complicated area of law and Kevin, who was admitted in 1989, has extensive experience and provides straight forward and practical advice in all areas including pre-nuptial agreements. He can assist you with divorce, residence and contact disputes involving children and division of property for married and de facto partners including the splitting of superannuation funds.

Kevin is a Queensland Law Society approved Mediator, he is friendly and approachable and will use his considerable experience in order to represent your best interests and reduce the stress and complication of the legal system.

Julie has a wealth of experience and local knowledge to help you with one of your biggest investment decisions. Having lived in Ipswich all her life and being a part of the WALKER PENDER GROUP for over 12 years has ensured that Julie has extensive experience in conveyancing for private & commercial purchases and sales. Working closely with the conveyancing team they provide a knowledgeable, courteous and professional service to their clients.

Kerrie has extensive experience working in professional practice with over 10 years experience with an Accounting firm based in Brisbane City where she provided client services for a diverse range of industries. Kerrie has real world experience in the commercial practice of Property Development where she implemented and maintained the accounting and tax requirements for a large group of companies.

Kerrie's experience extends to Taxation, Accounting, GST, Tax Planning and Entity Structure Creation. She is focused on building strong relationships with clients to take the worry out of the taxation legislative compliance requirements.
